And a few of my friends.
And some acquaintances.
And a few more people.
Well, actually a lot of them. May be it is the environment or the machines or those bouncers kind of looking trainers who freak us out. But lately, I have been trying hard (read deadly) to punch the fears in the face and voila! I have succeeded. I am not only a regular but a happy one too. And hence I thought why not share a few tricks and tips (I know you must be saying really? For gyms?) so that you can get your butt out in there and achieve whatever you have been wanting to.
Write it on a wall, engrave on your heart or just post it on your head. You have to get it done. No hook, no crook. Just plain hard work.
Be it weight gain, weight loss or in case you are already across the line and take fitness seriously, you have a motive. Had it not been, you would not be there. So, focus.
a) You are the thin person: Congratulations! You already are what the 80% people in the gym aim to be. Thumbs up!
b) You are the fat person: You can actually bully anyone, in case you want. No, just kidding. You are here to get smarter. Just a few weeks more.
Right from your inner ware to your shoes, make sure you invest in quality stuff. Chinese people do not eat the spicy masalas, the ghee, the biryanis and hence need no gym. Avoid the roadside stuff. Think and buy. You do not want a fiasco right in the middle of a squat.
Be nice and speak out frankly. Tell him your fears, discuss your routines, and talk to him about your goals and obstacles if any. Reach out to him in case of any need.
It is not a necessity that you visit your gym only in the wee hours of morning. Select a time wherein you are not rushing through and have a relaxed mind. No rules about time but yes, regularity matters.
Weekly. Monthly. Whatever suits you best. Just follow with all of your heart and will. Think of it as a challenge and move yourself up against it.
....that protein shake or protein bar because someone is doing so or said so. Half knowledge is always dangerous. Study, ask and check according to your body needs because these do have an impact on your system. Sometimes bad too. Yes. And I am not kidding.
As adopting a lifestyle that helps you stay on your feet and do what you like without popping those extra vitamin pills or energy drinks. You will see the newer you and smile more. It is definitely a happy go lucky kind of feeling.
So here is what I feel should share with you. In case there are more, please comment below and let all of us know too.
