As a parent, we adore our children. We love them right from their birth and with passage of each day, the love only grows. But let us admit, there are times when we will that the sand is slipping through our hands and we are not able to mold it the way we would have preferred. Remember, there is no standardized or perfect way. The best way is to let them be as they are. Innocent and naïve. But it is also important to see that they do not take their freedom for granted and behave rudely.
While most of us our working full time parents, we felt there was a need that if someone could just pile up a few little day to day things that we can use help from. So we did the task ourselves and here we are with Part-I to re-establish the little connect we have with the children. Here are 10 points for you to begin working on!
.As simple as that. Cut down on your some other busy appointments. Nothing is as important as shaping your children.
Do not fulfill unnecessary demands owing to your busy schedule
Make them observe and learn through your deeds about time management and its importance.
Enact or tell stories that depict the goodness reaped because of good behavior and obedience.
Spend time with just your family and go for outings like in the park or museum or any other place of interest/
Help them build a hobby. Give books to read or color. Introduce them to music and dance. Teach them to solve puzzles, crosswords or even Sudoku. Show them rupee or stamp collection. Just involve them in something creative.
Do not introduce children to your work place and if at all necessary, make sure that the child has a little corner of his or her own.
Do not bribe your children for a good behavior or just to get some peace. Instead, make the goodness a habit. Chocolates and other delicacies should be a reward at times and not exchange.
Emphasize on eating home cooked balanced meals and make sure that you do the same.
Get your elders to teach the children stories about religions. Not only does this enhance their knowledge but gives boost as well. All religions teach goodness of soul and humanity. They form a strong base for kindness. Focus on that.
