Dinner times are the most tiring ones. Why? Because everyone wants to eat something achcha (good)! What that achcha is, no one knows till date. Kids and husbands say that all the time as if the wives make boring food! Huh!
But truly speaking, everyone gets tired of the same old routine of dal, rice, veggies and roti. Of course health is important. But at times taste prioritizes. So there must be some days where we can have food that is not the boring (yes, the kids call it boring!) and makes the children jump to reach the dining table.
Nothing beats this scrumptious delight. Vegetables blended together with loads of butter, spices and eaten with butter dipped bread is wow! And yes, vegetables are healthy. Right Mom? *Wink Wink*
P.S.: Best enjoyed with finely chopped onion and a slice of lemon.
It is a mystery how these little cuteness can give joys that break into a million pieces in your mouth and give contentment to every human cell! We do not know of a person who does not like them.
We can just gobble them up in hundreds and not even bother about being tagged bhukkad.
You think you can finish off 2-3 plates in no time but it is so heavy that if you are able to finish one full plate, hats off!
The tikki or the patty poured with curds, chhole, spices, fresh coriander and of course the lovable imli chutney is to die for. Lip smacking good!
Be it a burger with any kind of patty inside; if it is served with mayonnaise, a cheese slice, vegetables, soft buns and fresh lettuce, it is THE best burger. And if served with french fries.. Drrrooooolllll!
This should no more be called Chinese. This has been Indianized so much with the tadka and the vegetables that is has almost become And those long strand of noodles mixed with right amount of garlic, soy sauce and chilli sauce are so inviting, you dare not say no to it!
Cold or hot or grilled or plain bread butter jam ones, bread is enormous in the form of a sandwich. layered with sauces and vegetables and more sauces and cheese at times.. well.. we are already drooling. Serving with lemon soda or a smoothie- bonus points ensured!
This will make mom happy for sure!
Chapati filled with potatoes or paneer or chicken or egg or plain vegetables and rolled into a yummylicious work of wow-ness is the the most filing and nutritional junk food you will come across perhaps!
No! pasta is not unhealthy! If you amke it at home right from scratch it is actually very healthy and wholesome. But... well..errr takes a lot of time if you make the pasta from the dough. We have no worries in accepting the instant version too though. It is completely ohhh la la!
And yes, it has vegetables too or milk as in white sauce. So healthy Mom!
Who says pakore are not meant for dinner? Huh! Who says? Those hot piping pakoras of different vehetables and/ or paneer and hot chai!
