1. Geet- Jab We Met

Geet

Kareena Kapoor has etched this character forever in our memories. You just cannot ignore the enthusiasm and freshness this character brings with itself. A bubbly, vivacious, full of life girl who completely believes in the power of love and the maturity that follows later with few traces of the original personality is completely true to life. How often we have found ourselves in similar situations and doing things what exactly Geet does.

We completely love and adore this one. Thank you Imtiaz Ali.

Favorite dialogue: Main apni favorite hoon.

2. Ayesha: Wake up S!D

2. Ayesha: Wake up S!D

This is the one character we writers most relate to. A shy yet dreaming girl who respects herself and ventures into a new city where she wants to fulfill all her desires. She meets a guy younger to him and he becomes her best friend. But will she understand the love that is brewing between them or would she mind the age gap and not go ahead? Wonderfully etched, beautifully portrayed by Konkona Sen Sharma.

3. Tanu: tanu weds Manu

Can you beat this audacious girl?

A girl who tattooed her boyfriend's name on her heart, rejects another guy and then falls in love with him and ends up marrying him.

Whoa! Kangana Ranaut played this character to the 'T' and her attitude was spot on.

"Oye hoye Pappi ji!"

4. Vidya Bagchi: Kahaani

You cannot just replace Vidya Balan in the film industry. And Vidya Bagchi is bound to stay with us for a long long time.

Coming to find your husband and revealing to be on a completely different mission altogether had our jaws dropping and eyes widening. Vidya- a simple character with layers was what every woman would do given the kind of situations that happen. But yes, the brave ones!

6. Meeta: Hasee toh Phasee

Here comes the naughty avatar of the girls. She lies, she steals, she runs away, she expresses herself without thinking of any consequences, she even does drugs! But when she loves, no one can beat her. Be it her family or the love of her life, she really follows the word love. Her fundas are simple, love truly and stick to your love.

Parineeti perfected the nerdy yet hip, loving and funny girl portrayal.

7. Rani: Queen

7. Rani: Queen

Here comes the Queen herself.

Rani finds her true self when she embarks on a journey alone to face sadness and loneliness. What she does not know is that this solo honeymoon trip of hers will help her realize the meaning of life and be independent.

Isn't it the same with us, we become sad and we try to overcome it by some measure? But here, Rani takes an extra step and no matter how broken she is, she sets out to feel her dream.

8. Piku: Piku

8. Piku: Piku

Extra marks to Juhi Chaturvedi for brilliantly writing this character and making it come alive by Deepika Padukone in a wonderful movie.

A strong independent girl stays with her father who nags, scolds and is very clumsy. No matter how much they fight, they stick to each others side. A road trip to their home town makes Piku realize how she loves her father and how he loves her back. It may not be said. Even the words may be alternatively harsh but the love and teachings remain.

This is definitely a must watch flick!
